Project Scarlett, the next generation Xbox announced

Xbox Project Scarlett

Microsoft has announced some details of their next-generation Xbox, codenamed Project Scarlett, which is due to launch in 2020.

Taking the stage at the Microsoft E3 press conference, the company announced that it was working on the successor to the Xbox One, but the new console still remains mysterious.

Microsoft did, however, reveal some details about the new console. They talked about a custom-designed AMD processor, which would boost performance by four times, compared to the previous Xbox One X. They have also discussed the SSD, which Xbox said will work very quickly and have suggested that it would run more than 40 times faster than the existing storage, meaning players won’t have to wait for games to load.

The E3 conference also had a surprise appearance from Keanu Reeves, who revealed that Cyberpunk 2077, will go on sale in April 2020. Reeves will appear in the future-set role-playing game, which is currently being developed by CD Projekt Red.
