Apple announces a new gaming service
The world’s biggest brand, Apple has announced the launch of their new service Apple Arcade, which offers new gaming facilities for iPhone, iPad, Mac and Apple TV users.
Apple Arcade will be a game subscription service and will feature over 100 new and exclusive games from renowned creators. The firm is looking to redefine games focusing on originality, quality, creativity and fun, whilst appealing to players of all ages.
As the service is subscription based, players will have the opportunity to try and play any game available without risk and ad-free. Apple also wants to introduce a new way to access games and will allow players to continue their game where they left on different Apple devices.
“The App Store is the world’s biggest and most successful game platform. Now we are going to take games even further with Apple Arcade, the first game subscription service for mobile, desktop and the living room,” said Phil Schiller, Apple’s senior vice president of Worldwide Marketing.
“We are working with some of the most innovative game developers in the world to create over 100 new and exclusive games to play across iPhone, iPad, Mac and Apple TV. Apple Arcade games will be great for families, respect user privacy and will not have ads or require any additional purchases. We think players of all ages are going to love Apple Arcade.”
